Grease Stains on Your Clothes? Here’s the Secret to Making Them Vanish!

We have all had that moment where we dropped food on our clothes only to discover that there’s now a grease stain. Especially when it happens to a new dress, it can be devastating. You can’t wear it when there’s a noticeable grease stain, so what do you do?

There are actually a few quick and easy solutions. These are some tips you will want to remember!

1. Time is of the Essence

Work on the stain as quickly as possible. The longer it sits there, the more time it will have to set. Try blotting some of the excess oil/grease ASAP.

2. Break Out the Cornstarch or Baking Soda

Use cornstarch or baking soda liberally on the stain. These powders will help to absorb the stain. Then, brush away the powder after about 15 minutes.

Use Some Dish Soap

Apply some dish soap onto the stain. You’d be surprised how dish soap can cut through the grease. Rinse the excess soap out with warm water.

Wash as You Normally Would

Follow the care instructions on the tag, and wash as you normally would.

All of this sounds easy enough, right? I was surprised by how well it worked, and it didn’t require any fancy products that would cost a fortune. Now, the next time you drip grease or oil down the front of a dress or any other piece of your wardrobe, you’ll know just what to do.
