One of the hardest parts of life is knowing that you’ll lose your loved ones someday, including your pets.
For many, the loss of a pet is just as devastating as the loss of their human relatives because they’re family members, too. Some people spend half of their lives with a beloved cat or dog by their side, which makes it all the more heartbreaking when the time comes to say goodbye.
If you enjoy watching the daytime talk show “The Doctors”, you’ve probably noticed the special bond that one of the hosts, Dr. Travis Stork, shares with his dog, Nala. After spending nearly 20 years with his canine companion, he began preparing himself for the inevitable final farewell.
The emergency room physician adopted Nala from a shelter about 17 years ago and the pair quickly became inseparable.
Nala was there to celebrate all the major milestones he reached, including going through and completing medical school.
