When They Set Off Fireworks, It Led To An Ordeal That No One Expected

If you have a dog or cat at home, you know how distressing it can be for them to hear fireworks blasting outside during the fourth of July or other special occasions.

And they’re not the only animals terrified by loud sounds. On December 5, which is recognized as Thailand’s Father’s Day, people were setting off fireworks near the Phra Prang Sam Yod temple in Lopburi. It’s also known as the Monkey Temple because, you guessed it — it’s a place many monkeys call home.

They, too, dislike fireworks, so amidst the cacophony of celebration, the frightened creatures followed their instincts and ran.

Poor things! I can’t imagine how stressful this was for them. Here’s hoping they all stayed safe and found their way home after everything died down.
