Watch As This Neglected Dog Undergoes An Incredible Transformation

In 2014, a few groomers were called to a dog shelter in Tokyo, Japan, to groom a dog in serious need of a haircut.

But the groomers weren’t at all prepared for the heartbreaking sight of Ginta, a dog who was completely covered in matted, dirty fur.The poor thing had been severely neglected by his owner and then abandoned on the streets like a piece of trash.

You’d never know that underneath all that fur, Ginta is a standard poodle.

Nobody knew for sure how long he had been in this state, but they believe it had been years.

Fortunately he wouldn’t have to suffer any more after they found him.

The groomers got to work straight away on freeing Ginta from his furry prison.

His coat was so overgrown that it looked like another dog when they got it off of him.

With each careful cut, they started seeing more and more of the real Ginta. When you see the video on the next page, you won’t even believe what he looks like now!

That scared, shaggy dog is completely unrecognizable and so much more full of life!
